This week we will continue to learn about the U.S. Constitution Monday, 11/15: Create a poster that might have been used to encourage people to support ratification of the Constitution. Your poster must include:
a catchy slogan
three reasons why states should ratify the Constitution
a visual to accompany each reason
extra creative touches to make your poster visually appealing (borders, lettering, etc.)
writing that is free of spelling and grammatical errors
This will serve as your chapter 8 assessment. You will be graded on a 4-point rubric to go on your next progress update. Posters will need to be completed as an individual assignment. I encourage you to use the summaries you completed last week.
Tuesday, 11/16: Create a glossary for key terms in the chapter 9. Include the definition and explain their connection to this time in history. Finish your poster if you are not done.
popular sovereignty legislative branch bicameral bill veto executive branch impeach judicial branch checks and balances amendment interstate commerce federalism party interest group
Wednesday, 11/17: Jigsaw the reading - each person will be responsible for a different section. You will have a graphic organizer to complete for your section
Thursday, 11/18: Each person will share their research findings with the class.
Friday, 11/19: Multimedia or Engineering Friday, your choice.
EACH DAY - any work that you do NOT finish in class needs to go home and be completed as homework.
